The First Annual Kite Festival is in the books!

What a great day! We had lots of families coming out from different parts of the city to Westminster Pond Centre: It was truly a multi-cultural event! We had St. John’s Ambulance and a food truck on site with lots of volunteers from Forest City Kiwanis and Investing in Children helping to assemble and distribute kites, helping with parking, and whatever else needed to be done.

Kids were busy getting their faces painted, flying a kite, getting lots of fresh air, and having fun. It was a lovely low-key event with beautiful weather. Participants are already looking forward to coming back next year!
