Ron Gosbee is a non-Indigenous survivor of one of Canada’s most notorious residential schools, St. Anne’s Indian Residential School in Fort Albany, Ontario.

On November 16th, 2023, we we were proud to host Ron as the final speaker in our “Headliners Speaker Series.” Ron shared his personal experience of the violence and injustice he witnessed while attending St. Anne’s Indian Residential School.

Ron is raising awareness of this dark chapter in Canadian history and the impact it had on himself as well as other survivors with the hope it will never happen again. 

This was the first time Ron shared his experiences in front of a live audience.
